Before the Taser the world had little means of protecting themselves. Personal Safety would often see many people severely hurt or dead. As a result, the Taser was designed to protect people in a less harmful way.

Over the past few decades, the Taser has gone through many changes. At first the Taser darts were discharged by black powder. As a result of this, Tasers were unuseable to the public because they were deemed the same as firearms. However the former part of the 1990’s saw dart cartridges being remodelled. From this, the Taser was then pushed forward by taut nitrogen, which allowed people to buy them.

A Taser is an electroshock device that utilizes two darts attached to wires. These darts are fired into the skin of an attacker or suspect and delivers a high voltage shock of electricity. The blow will affect the nervous system of the attacker and will also make the muscles contract quickly. This combined effect is very effective in subduing an unruly individual.

In order to prevent the abuse of Tasers, new models have been engineered to scatter numbered pieces of film whenever the darts are fired. Dart cartridges can link back to any individual who buy them. Since there are a bunch of little pieces of film, it would be difficult for someone abusing the Taser to completely clean up the scene of a crime.

When using a Taser for self defense, make sure you are thoughtful of it. Owning a weapon like a Taser is a big responsibility. Make sure you always keep it away from children. When you are carrying it on your person, you should use a holster for it. This will enable you to access it easily if you need it and it will also keep if from accidentally discharging into yourself.

A Taser for self protection is still achievable without a dart cartridge. The thing that is great about a Taser is that it can be used just like a stun gun as well. If someone attacks you, simply jam the tip of the Taser into them and stun them. No one should be attacked. Everyone has the right to fend themselves.
