It can be very exciting and also very overwhelming when you find out you are going to have a baby. There is a lot to prepare for and do before the birth but do not let it be too daunting, shopping for baby bits is lots of fun. Only you can decide when the time is right to start buying bits for the baby.

On a practical note buy a few baby magazine and work out exactly what you will need for when the baby comes. If you are on a budget you may want to ask around family and friends for any items that they do not need anymore, or look at the budget ranges that all baby stores do.

A fantastic looking nursery can be done on a low budget as you can buy items from the internet or from the local paper or even the baby stores do low cost lines if you want to buy everything from new.

A baby bedding collection can be obtained from anywhere that sells baby equipment, and you can get beautiful sets of matching bedding along with curtains for the baby’s room.

If you want a crib that takes the baby through to being a toddler then look at buying a convertible baby crib white makes a good choice for a timeless sense to the room or if you are not worried about beds just yet, you can get a regular crib.

If you are lacking in space then look to buy convertible baby furniture like drawers which also double up as a place to change the baby on.

If you are going to be up nursing the baby and trying to get them to sleep and want to do it in comfort look at getting a nursery rocking chair, they allow for the mum nursing the baby.

Whilst baby clothes can look extremely cute in the first few weeks put them in soft baby romper suits, or something which is easy to get off when changing their nappy, washes well and also dries very quickly as you are likely to wash them a lot.

Choosing the right pram or travel system can take quite a bit of looking at, take into consideration your budget, the size of your boot, whether you have to take public transport and how much walking you expect to do, otherwise you will end up buying another pram for various aspects of your activities.
