The thought of the times is reflected in the arts. Society is also moved by the progress of the sciences. Both science and art comprise the works of the professional craftsman. It is the craftsman’s duty to produce quality and keep that tradition of fine work. This is why it has always been difficult to determine whether a craftsman follows science or is an artist. There is almost no distinction between those in the profession.

Passing on information from one generation to another has always been a key factor in development. Our history has been told in stories by telling them to younger generations. The handing down of possessions and the history that they represent has always represented the advancing of life and learning. From one generation to the next, family heirlooms have always carried the history of a family.

All of these accomplishments would not have been possible without the mastery of time. The one ability that ties all of humanities passion, history and accomplishments is the knowledge of time. It is a reminder of our mortality and pursuit of immortality. It follows us like the history of the world and reminds us of our future.
