When reading acne product reviews, you must be very selective. Most importantly, using the wrong acne products could make your breakouts go crazy. Evaluate every aspect of a review before you act. You need to know what type of acne the treatment is intended for. But most important is knowing if the treatment you choose is a preventative or only heals existing breakouts. You should also figure out if you can live with the potential side effects.

Keeping this information in mind we have put together a list of acne reviews. A portion of these products are really great. There are some people who think they are miraculous. Some of the others are just terrible. Check the acne product reviews below so you can see if your medication made our list.

The Best

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash:
Great product and a great price. You can use this product with any degree of acne. Oil is removed with the wash. It must be used twice a day to be effective. It tends to dry the skin out a little. Using an oil-free moisturizer will fix the problem. Within a week users noticed improvement. Over time this carried on. If you use only the wash, you may not get totally clear skin. If you have serious acne, this wash will make a very noticeable difference. You will be able to clear up mild to moderate acne with the wash.

Proactiv:
This product is in our stars acne product reviews because it works wonderfully, when it works. Many swear by Proactive – and we aren’t talking about all the stars in the commercials. But, I have seen many mixed reviews about Proactive. Mild to moderate acne is easily treated with this product. But, really bad acne may not react as well. Proactiv destroys bacteria that is in your pores and causes acne. This medication has has been very successful and will work fast as long as there isn’t too much bacteria. If you have severe acne this product may not work. Also, you have to keep using this product once your skin is clear or the bacteria will just come back.

Stinkers

Clear and Continuous Control Acne Cleanser:
This is a very good facial cleanser. It feels all cool and tingly when washing your face. But you shouldn’t use it as a treatment for acne. While it felt wonderful, there were little to no effects. If you tend to get regular breakouts and not acne you will probably have good luck with this one. Its on our “stinkers” list because it hasn’t really lived up to the “acne cleanser” part in its name.

Murad Acne Treatments:
Murad has a fantastic line of cosmetics and beauty company. However, their acne treatments are not so great. Murad’s acne products tend to make the problem worse for most who use it. They do have a money-back guarantee, but you might have to deal with some pretty serious image issues while you wait for your refund. If you want to try this product, just use it carefully.

Naturally there are many more acne treatments out there. They were just the treatments that seemed to stand above the rest. Acne product reviews can help you find the right product for you.
